What it does

• Records audio on your Mac and stores it locally
• Transcribes recordings using OpenAI Whisper, running on-device via WhisperKit
• Builds a semantic index with a bundled sentence-embedding model so you can search across what was said, not just the file names
• Keeps everything under ~/Library/Application Support/Audient/ — no cloud sync, no telemetry SDKs, no third-party services

Status

• In development — not yet on the Mac App Store
• The privacy policy is published now so it is in place at the moment of App Store review
• Audient is one of several products from Async Digital. Our primary commercial service is Speed to Lead — missed-call follow-up for dental clinics
